Word of Light Ministries is a Word governed, Spirit led, multi-faceted church. The LORD in His sovereignty has called this ministry into existence under the great leadership of Bishop Charles F. Rodgers.

Bishop Rodgers began his preaching ministry as an International Evangelist for the Church of God In Christ in 1956. The power of God was evident in his ministry as he declared the Truth of God’s Word across this great nation with signs and wonders confirming the Word which he preached. While gaining him International acclaim as a Spirit-filled Man of God, Bishop Rodgers remained focus on the God-given task at hand, thus allowing him to realize long-term success.

Throughout his illustrious career as a minister, Bishop Rodgers has served on numerous boards and committees. He has successfully planted churches and been instrumental in the growth of many more. Bishop Rodgers being led of the LORD strongly felt impressed to plant a new church in Cordova, TN with an unyielding desire of reaching out to all people regardless of ethnicity or socio-economic status. To provide a place of rest and worship for all those that are burdened and heavy laden, needing a fresh touch from the LORD.

Bishop Rodgers’ qualifications as a servant of God asserts him as one that has been tried, proven and prepared to successfully accomplish this task. It is with great confidence in our God that we embrace this challenge. The God in Whom we serve is more than able to grant us good success in this matter.
